ROSE'S ABSTRACTS AND ABSTRACTIONS
Of all arts, abstract painting is the most difficult.
A good abstract requires heightened sensitivity for composition, balance, value and colors. It isn't just throwing paint on paper. The most important quality of an abstract is that the artist is a true poet.
The role of the viewer in abstract art is to respond to the piece in a more emotional way, with different viewers interpreting the same painting differently, based on their own beliefs and experience... no right or wrong.
There are two kinds of abstract art. There are partial abstractions, where artworks have identifiable objects and people, but they have been distorted, simplified, or have unrealistic colors. The fully abstract doesn't get any inspiration from visual reality.
Both types of abstracts give you permission to interpret my art as YOU feel it.
